Mandatory Data Breach Notification

Organisations with existing obligations under the Privacy Act are now required to notify individuals whose personal information has been involved in a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm. The notification is required to allow individuals to take appropriate action, in the event that their personal information has been compromised.
